What is Pharmaceutical Compounding?

Compounding is defined as the practice of preparing customized medications in accordance to a licensed practitioner’s prescription or essential need.

This allows the compounding pharmacists and health care providers the ability to:

  • Combine therapies in a single dosage

  • Personalize and tailor dosages to the specific patient

  • Eliminate unwanted ingredients such as dyes and fillers

  • Provide solutions to make products that are currently unavailable due to drug shortages

  • Enhance patient adherence by compounding it in a way the patient can tolerate the drug better

Compounding for Women's Health is our specialty.  From patient specific hormone preparations to medications for sexual dysfunction we provide personal solutions to your prescription needs!

Unsure about injections?  Let us compound a formulation that can be applied topically to your skin or help with other conditions involving men's hormone therapies.

Compounding medications are especially helpful for our little ones who usually need a dosage that is not commercially available. Flavoring to get that taste just right is also a great service we provide!

We understand how important your pets mean to you and we go out of our way to make medicating your furry friend easy and affordable.  From MedChews to topical creams rubbed on the ear, we can compound just what your companion needs!

Women's Health

A woman's hormone levels are highly individualized, requiring tailored dosing. Growing evidence supports the benefits of bioidentical hormones and transdermal routes of administration over common synthetic oral medications. Certain conditions also benefit from combination therapy.

Hormonal Therapies for Menopause and Peri-Menopausal Symptoms

  • Bi-Est Creams - compounded formulations containing set ratios of Estriol and Estradiol, two forms of estrogen that can help with menopause and peri-menopausal symptoms

  • Testosterone Creams - compounded formulations containing testosterone which may help balance overall hormone levels while providing relief from low libido

  • Combination Creams - A combination of estrogen and testosterone or other hormones that may need to be replaced such as DHEA, Progesterone, etc.

  • Oral Progesterone - A vital player in the overall well-being of women's health by balancing the effects of other hormones

We utilize the practices presented by Dr. Pamela Smith and highly recommend reading her book entitled "What You Must Know About Women's Hormones : Your Guide to Natural Hormone Treatments for PMS, Menopause, Osteoporosis, PCOS, and More."
